Originally this was a double panel curtain. This is a very lush and exotic printed Chinoiserie design.

The red was hand painted onto a discharged ground. The hand gimp is hand sewn and reflects the

red in the lanterns. The pale yellow color has faded over time. Condition is good with just four pin

prick holes when held to light and a small hole. The small bottom hem is by hand. I bought this decades

ago in the South of France and put it through the washing machine at that time. I believe I have more

of this fabric.
