This fabulous Brooch would have been hand crafted by a Georgian Artisan Goldsmith who fashioned it in Gold; decorating around the bevelled crystalcoveringthe central hairwork section with twenty-eight Seed Pearls before setting the twelve round flat-cut Garnets to create a truly stunning brooch.
Overall this fine Georgian Brooch is in superb condition for a piece of Georgian jewellery that is almost 250 years old; it has no chips, cracks ordamage other than a few dings on the reverse as shown. The bevelled crystal is superb being remarkably clear with only a couple of tiny flea bites to the edge visible under a x10 loupe. Similarly the Garnets are in great condition with only light wear, as shown, and with no damage.
The Brooch has the following dimensions: It is approx\' 3.1cms long; and approx\' 2.5cms high; and it is approx\' 3.5mm deep (not including the pin).
