A fine pair of Art Deco 18ct Gold Octagonal Cufflinks with engine turned decoration, which are fully hallmarked for Chester 1928 confirming that they are made from solid 18ct Gold i.e they are not gold plated. The colour of the 18ct antique gold is a beautiful buttery gold, which really sets these superb Cufflinks apart(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of theitem\'s description).
This wonderful Pair of Antique Cufflinks, which weigh 6.4 grams, are embellished with fine engineturned decoration within a plain bright finished border that is typical of the Art Deco Period. Each decorated oval panel of the Cufflinks measures approx\' 13mm long by 13mm wide and indicative of the quality of these fine Cufflinks each one is stamped twice, as shown; on each gold octagonal panel and on the torpedo shaped backs.
These fine quality Cufflinksare stamped with the maker\'s mark \'HG&S\' for the highly respected of Henry Griffiths & Sons. Overall, they are in superb conditionwith only wear commensurate with age; the hallmarks are still clear and the decoration & engraving is still crisp, with only a few scratches and bruises visible to the torpedo shaped backs, which won\'t be noticed when worn and are nothing really but mentioning for descriptivecompleteness.
