What caught my eye most with this divine box was how pretty the young girl on the lid is. I wonder what the backstory is...was this a gift to a loved one..or a parent perhaps. The box has ornate repousse silver plate?? that forms the frame and the box is covered in a lovely deep blue velvet and inside its a rich purple. Its a nice quality box with a strong working hinge. Its a lovely piece and displays beautifully. The photos show the condition well. It measures 3.5cm high by 6cm x 6cm square. I can find no makers mark or hallmarks at all. During my research the only other box like this I found was marked Garrard & Co and hall marked Silver. This is not but it of similar quality.
