Alright folks up for sale is the most fabulous estate find in awhile. This exquisite Antique gold encrusted Ewer / Pitcher Vase / Mantle Piece is simply stunning with the multi colored gilted flowers and pretty embossing overlayed with heavy gold.
Here is what i see, The GOOD news, for its age (around 1890) it is in excellent condition. It is LARGE 14\" tall x 6\" wide, usually they are much smaller 9-11\" tall. there are NO breaks to the handle which are common, and no chips or repairs to the spout where the water pours
The not so good, it is old and shows SOME wear meaning, there is gold wear, common. Ok, so the only thing is see is on some raised parts a piece MAY have chipped off or the gold is really worn and there may be a chip to the underside of the top rim that someone may have tried to paint over. i have pointed out 2 spots that are \"rough\", so i would assume they are chips. If someone touched up the one on the upper raised veining you couldnt even tell there may have been a chip . . .
I wish they made them like this again . . . . .A rare and OLD BEAUTY!
