A stunning & unusual Victorian 18ct Gold Solitaire Ring dating to c1900, which is set with a Peridot(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the ring\'s description).
This wonderful antique ring, which weighs 2.1 grams, has tri-furcated shoulders and a raised caged mount leading to the \'square\' bezel that is set with a Peridot (approx\' 7mm by 6.5mm) in arub-oversetting. Unusually the Peridot has been set crown first with the pavilionfacing outward to create a uniquely beautiful ring.
Typical of the period the ring is stamped \'18c\' inside the shank, confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold. Overall itis in great condition, however commensurate with age the Peridotis abraded, as shown, to the surface of the table.
This beautiful ring is sized as a UK Ring Size \'M\',which equates to a US Ring Size \'6 1/4\', as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.eit is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gaugedepending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring whenworn.
