For your consideration is thisbeautiful and rare Antique Handmade Sideboard signed by Valiant.This gorgeous Arts & Crafts style sideboard is entirely handmade with hand dovetailing and wooden pegs. The piece measures 73\" long 36 1/2\" tall and is 18 3/4\" deep. It is complete with all original parts, an older refinishing, and is in near excellent condition with minor vintage wear. It has its original brass plate tag signed Valiant.Valiant was an upscale furniture manufacturer that operated inPhiladelphia, Paris , and Baltimore in the mid to late 1800\'s till the 1920\'s. From our research it seems they specialized in handmade furniture and European reproductions. The sideboard is made of solid oak with dental carvings along the top andbeautiful octagonal raised panels withebonized trim. There are original solid brass teardrop handles and hand turned wooden knobs. It has hand carved barley twist front legs with pegged stretchers.This comes from a local estate owned by a prominent nationally recognized retiredOncologist. We will be bringing you more from his estate in the coming days. All items from this estate will come, upon purchasers request, with a letter from the doctor stating his previous ownership for purpose of provenance.
