Up for sale is this stunning early 1900\'s Downton Abbey Style Edwardian Era Long Skirt. This skirt is a stunning piece of craftsmanship made of one of the finest fabrics which possesses not only exceptional shape but also suppleness and terrific hand. The skirt is cut in silk grosgrain which is stiff enough to provide beautiful shaping to the body but which feels almost liquid when it is worn, the movement is incredible. This is a fantastic special occasion piece cut to move to meet the demands of an active woman. There are multiple pleats up the front, epaulette detailing at the waist and sides of the skirt secured with buttons. The skirt fastens on the side with multiple snaps and 2 hook and eye closures secured to a band of brown silk grosgrain ribbon. The hem of the skirt is machine stitched and is showing some wear along the roll of the hem.
