Thisexquisite Russian Santa Claus is incredibly life-like and detailed!Thisfantastic Santa is hand carved and hand painted by the artist inreds and golds.Santa\'s cloakhas an intricate and detailed painted on the front and back of the gown and cloak (see the close up pictures below showing the pattern of Santa\'s cloak.) Santa\'s large pack is decorated with pink and blue flowers with gold highlighting and is overflowing with all kinds of gifts and packages! Santa also has a satchel or briefcase by his side - which is most likely filled with letters from all those good little girls and boys! This statue is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. Linden wood was once used to make drafting boards because it is so stable once it is properly dried. It does not warp, change shape, or crack and this artistic piece will bring enjoyment for a lifetime! (Note: These are not mass produced molded resin from China. All Russian Santas are one of a kind, unique, and hand carved from Linden Wood so no two Santas are ever identical.) This Grandfather Frost, as he is called in Russia, is made in Sergei Posad, Russia and is signed by the artist. The Santa measures approximately 12.25 inches tall by6.75 inches wide.
