Wonderful and scarce set of 5 antique electric blue wine glasses. These glasses are small by today\'s standards (being ideal for port or liqueur) and date to the the 19th or possibly early 20th century. Handblown, bright blue glasses, comprising bowls cut with basal flutes, most unusual separately blown faceted stems with central cut cubic knop and heavy wide applied foot (which makes me think these probably are 19th century pieces, despite their uncommon shape). Nice weighty glasses that ring with a good long sound when struck.

Ground and polished pontil bases. One glass has a few black grit inclusions in the foot rim, and a surface (glassblowing) imperfection in the very base of the bowl.

All glasses remain in extremely good condition with no damage or notable wear.

Glasses measures approx. 4.5\" (11.5cm) tall x 2.75\" (7cm) base diameter.
