An exceptional hand painted portrait pin after Filippo Lippi\'s Madonna. Please view the photos, the attention to detail is amazing. I\'m not sure what the painting is on as I have not taken the pin apart, it could be either porcelain or paper. The frame is silver with a gold wash or plating, and the outside curls alternate between silver & gold. The mark looks to be 800 along with some very tiny numbers that my eyes can\'t make out. It measures nearly 1 1/2\" x 1 1/4\" and has a nicely working C clasp. Please view the photos to see the artistry.
