This is a stunning and unusual heavy sterling silver Peruvian case.

It is of excellent quality and made of a heavy gauge sterling silver.

The front is amazing and decorated with a carved Inca tribal figure, the workmanship is fantastic.

Condition is excellent. There are no dents, splits or repairs although the back of the case has evidence of surface scratching. This does not, however, detract from the desirability of this case. The hinge is strong and has a snap shut closing action and there are no gaps when the case is closed.

The silver hallmarks inside the case show 925 Peru and Welsch. Each of the lids are also marked \'34\'. This most unusual and hard to find sterling silver case was handwrought by one of the talented silversmiths who produced for the prestigious retailer Welsch, probably in the 1930\'s. Welsch were formed in 1909.

The case is 7.5cm x 6cm and weighs a substantial 84g.
