PRE Subaru EJ22T rebuilt block with forged rods and pistons. This is a closed deck stroker EJ22T short block. This is the ultimate block in reliability. Complete list of machining operations and included parts listed below. EJ22T stroker engine displacement is 2360cc, 2.36L. 


This short block is built to order. We have all parts in stock except custom Wiseco pistons. Standard off-the-shelf Wiseco piston compression is too low when using EJ205 or EJ255/257 B25 or D25 heads. Wiseco manufactures custom pistons to our spec. Please contact us with your project so we design a piston best suited for your needs. Custom piston lead time is 4 weeks. Upon piston arrival it take 2 weeks to finalize block machining and assembly.

Services provided with every race prepared engine: 

-Complete engine disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and failure analysis

-Cylinder block is stripped and solvent washed

-Cylinder block media blasted

-Cylinder block inspected for damage, cracks, and defects

-Cylinder block oil galleries deburred, radiused, and polished for improved oil delivery and oil drain

-Cylinders bored and honed to PRE specification using two torque plates to attain perfectly round cylinders. PRE torque plates are our own design CNC machined in-house.

-Head gasket mating surfaces machined flat

-Head gasket mating surface lapped with stone

-Cylinder block machined to clearance bigger forged connecting rods

-Crankshaft main bearing housings align honed to PRE spec size

-Crankshaft machined to accept thrust bearing in #3 location. 

-Crankshaft performance balanced to within 1.0 gram

-Connecting rods weight matched as a set to within 0.5 grams as a set

-Connecting rod bolts measured and size recorded in spec sheet

-Connecting rod bolts fastened using a stretch gauge

-Piston coatings: thermal barrier coating on the crowns and wear/friction reducing coating on the skirts

-Pistons weight matched to within 0.5 grams as a set

-Bearing clearances checked during trial block assembly

-Piston clearance checked

-Piston ring gaps adjusted to specification

-Piston deck height confirmed

-Piston dish volume measured and compression ratio calculated

-New oil pump disassembly, cleaning, measuring, priming, and assembly
