Note that the hinge does squeak a bit, but that\'s nothing that a little mink oil can\'t fix. There are two loops on the side that seem to indicate that this can also be used as a purse and may have had a strap at one point.My research tells me that the \"sudhaus\" brand started as a German watchmaker in 1844 and while I\'m sure this purse isn\'t this old, it is definitely older than the 20 years that will qualify as vintage!
