Description:

The gold is painted on in beading with a floral motif on the bowl and the cover.
The paint is raised can be felt when you touch the piece and is very detailed for such a tiny piece of porcelain.
It is beautifully translucent, you can see your fingers through the bottom when you hold it up to the light.
Because it is fine porcelain it is much stronger than it looks.
Shape is octagonal (six sided)

Condition:The Sugar Bowl/Mustard Jar and Cover are in excellent condition - NO cracks, crazing, chips, stains, darkening or soil. Very little gold loss or wear.Manufacturer\'s Mark ----- This mark has been used since ~1911Description of Mark:HAND PAINTED encircles two wreaths on the top of the markM in wreathsNIPPON encircles the wreaths and the M on bottom. This Mark is green and believed to be one of the earliest.
