Sunbeam - Story from the Catalogues - Vol 3 - 1908-1928 Rare Vintage Bicycle:
$124.94

Volume 3 of an exceptionally rare rendition of Sunbeam Cycles of Wolverhampton, England put together by John Pinkerton and Derek Roberts in the 80\'s. This top end vintage British bicycle brand is much revered, and a build apart from the Raleighs, Rudges, Pashleys, Grundle and Humbers of the same era. Pioneers of the the 2 speed crank and much more. Model numbers, brochures and adverts were very rare and in this book (60 pages) a compilation is lovingly put together by means of adverts, factory workings and history as well as input from family members surrounding John Marston. A lot of focus on the Flagship dealership based in London, Holborn Viaduct. 27 Sunbeam Bicycles are featured alongside chapters on the factory, its owner and cycling accessories. A very good read.
This is not a commercial item and Sunbeam brochures are rarer than the bicycles. I have also listed volume 1 of this edition and can work a discount if you are keen on both.
Condition wise:Very good inners, outers and bind. Glossy hardcover with embossed gold print on the Sunbeam Logo and title.
