This is a stunningly beautiful set of vintage chairs from the world renowned manufacturers of folding chairs- Leg-o-matic.

These were produced by the factory in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Sold in New York.

The chairs are a brown to deep brown color with a sturdy vinyl upholstery and the gorgeous French cane back sets of this classic vintage style. But what makes these chairs very rare are that they have arms. These chairs just do not exist anymore. The super cool part of these chairs are how they work by pressing the lever on the inside front bar and sliding lever/roller sides that smoothly roll opened and closed (folded).

I suspect these chairs are mid-century Danish modern, they just have that vibe to them but not sure. They are hallmarked with the company\'s original tag, and are surprisingly light (perfect for women to move and open, at least I was happy that I could move them with no struggle). They stand up on their own and are quite sturdy when opened. Cool sideline, there is a diagram of how to fold and unfold the chairs on the bottom!

They were made to be permanent or at least semi-permanent seating. If these chairs could only talk, what tales they would tell. Probably about other famous \"tails\", sorry just had too.

They are in very good vintage condition, there are nicks and storage wear (nicks in the wood and tears in the leather in the seats at the edges which is common with chairs this old, especially ones that fold- I have heard from many collectors that the leather seats are easily repaired with leather pieces) but these chairs were mainly stored and not used and most importantly the cane backs (which are what most look for) are in perfect condition. Please note: there is a repair on one of the seats (with tape, please see pics).

I would most prefer to have these picked up locally but I will send them via FedEx or UPS ground, but they will probably go for 30 pounds with packing.
