Superb 1898 Antique Block MEERSCHAUM SILVER AMBER Estate Pipe Pipa Pfeife Tuyau:

Here we have a superb 19th Century antique blockmeerschaum estate pipe in the straight \'cutty\' shape,complete with 1898 hallmarked silver ferrule and an amber stem.
The meerschaum has a lovely patina.
The ferrule is stamped with the maker\'s mark \"EAW\", identifying \'E.A. Wood\' - followed by three silverhallmarks (Anchor, letter \'y\', Lion) for Birmingham, 1898, England.
It has been carefully smoked and remains in very good condition overall - just a few light scratches onthe meerschaum - and a few teethmarks on the stem.
The stem is firmly fixed to the shank, and I was unable to remove it.
There is just a shallow layer of carbon in the chamber, and some on the bowl rim.Air flows through the pipe freely.Please note: the pipe stand is not included in this sale.

Thoroughly cleaned and ready to enjoy.
