Beautiful 18th Century French oil painting on canvas laid to mahogany panel of a young woman holding her cat The painting illustrates in detail the dress and manner of young French Aristocracy in the 18th century. A place of great privilege that seems fine on such a youthful person but predates the change of circumstance that the late 18th century brings about The detail is finely represented and shows the hand of a court painter. In good clean condition and ready to hang. Measures 14\" x 12\" and 23\" x 21\" in an excellent gilt gallery frame. A lovely portrait ready to hang.
