For sale is a really fun little piece made by Meissen in the late 18th century. These are most often described as eggcups but it is in fact a cup for Turkish coffee and was made for export to the Ottoman Empire during this period. This is the nicest example I have seen and is hand painted with lots of small floral arrangements as well as little buildings all around with some nice gold and blue trim. The shape of the edge is really nice and the entire piece has a relief design to it as well. The cup is in perfect condition which is always a nice bonus :) It is 1.75 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the star underneath as shown.
