Here for your consideration is a fabulous and very rare, 1925, William Moorcroft, 6\" Moonlit Blue, guglet, footed, miniaturebaluster vase.

The vase is inwonderful original condition with no chips, dinks, scratches, cracks or damage. It does have a very small amount of glaze crazing, but nothing unusual. Just a very nice piece of William Moorcroft pottery, consideringthis WilliamMoorcroft vase is 92 years old it\'s in beautiful condition, commensurate with age.

William Moorcroft\'s Moonlit blue pattern was first introduced in 1922. This version is akin toa rather hard-edged version of the \'naturalistic\' wares, and quite sombre in appearance, even nocturnal, with overlapping tree heads, in really strong dark evening colours. These vases can be seen in variouscolour-waysfrom natural toflambéand with a varietyof different coloured grounds.

This vase is a deep speckled dark blue descendingtowards the base it becomes almost black in its appearance. The exterior of this delightful vase is decorated with five trees, in green,turquoise, speckled sand with hints of cream all having a slight variation in style, shape, and height.

The base of this guglet baluster vase has the impressed, Moorcroft, Made in Englandback stamp. The back stamp changed in 1928 to read \"Potter to HMQueen\".
