Here we have another rare opportunity to purchase a Chinese black silk two button jacket which is fully lined in white silk and is in excellent condition .
It is not the one I sold recently it is another which is incredibly similar !It measures underarm to underarm 17.5 inches ,is 20 inches across the hip, has sleeves which are 22 inches and is 25 inches in length . Please check your measurements .
It is equisitely embroidered in white silk in the patterns often found on Chinese silk \'piano\' shawls , namely birds, peonies and blossoms .
The standard of this hand embroidery is very high, often worked by two embroideresses , one each side of the silk !
It fastens, edge to edge, should you want to wear it done up, with two self covered buttons secured by self fabric loops.
This one has a shop label sewn in \"Adderley\'s Ltd. Leicester Blouse Specialist \" and also a name tape Edna Chapman.... lucky Edna !
