You are offerding on a WONDERFUL 19cfigured rosewood veneered and inlaid restored and repolished inlaid jewellerybox. Dates approximately 1830/1880.

FULLY LOCKS on both compartments.

In WONDERFUL restoredcondition.

Very solid in construction.

No missing or replacedveneer.

No missing or replaced inlay.

Quite a lot of old scratchesto the right side, and a few bruises either side above the keyhole. Otherwiseits a really great box and in pretty good order for such an old item.

Inlaid with mother of pearl roundelsand pewter stringing to the top. Further inlaid with mother of pearl within alarge cartouche to the top. Further inlaid with mother of pearl roundels andpewter stringing to the front.

Terrific box in superbcondition. Difficult to appreciate until you see it in front of you.

Period initialled engravedcartouche of the time.

Bottom draw is also inlaidwith mother of pearl roundels and pewter stringing. Replacement mother of pearlkeyhole escutcheon. The draw moves in and out quite freely.

Comprising a wonderful interior that boasts a laterwooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has beenrelined in expensive velvet material of the highestquality, the same as the interior of thebox.

All the added dividers withinthe tray and bottom draw can easily berepositioned or removed if desired. The tray can hold many rings in an uprightposition.

Underneath the additionaltray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop anyscratches to other surfaces.

A superb box, and would make a fantasticgift.
