Superb 19th century gilt metal and cut crystal chandelier
Period: Mid 19th century
Origin: France or Russia
Size:80cm tall x 55cm diameter
Condition:Excellent condition, there is however, hidden under the metal finial, a near invisible hairline. Only an insect on your ceiling would be able to see it!
Notes on item:Glorious 19th century gilt metal and cut crystal chandelier, cobalt blue cut to clear. It was purchased at sale many years ago as a Baltic/Russian piece, but I have deep suspicions it\'s actually French. The metalwork is incredibly delicate, extremely refined. The crystal is much more in line with the work of Baccarat or Saint Louis than with the Russian Imperial versions of the period.
