Superb 19thC Meissen Porcelain Capodimonte Relief Design Plate Porzellan Tasse:

For sale is a superb plate made in the Capo Di Monte style by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is hand painted with lots of detail on relief decoration around the rim as well as a central scene of two cherubs sitting in a cloud with some wheat under them and a bit in the hands of one cherub. The rim design has putti doing different things all around in a landscape background. Either playing games or playing with animals like dogs or birds. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with some very minor wear. One stray gold mark to the underside rim. Marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers one finds on Meissen of this period. Gold ring around the foot of the plate which is always a sure sign of high end quality pieces!
