Superb ART DECO THREE 3 Piece Solid Silver TEA SET Hallmarked 1932 Sterling NR

Birmingham - Superb - 19 troy oz. - EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY

This is a really outstanding,ART DECO English solid sterling silver THREE PIECE tea and coffee set which was made in Birmingham, England in 1932 by the famous silversmiths, Adie Brothers at their Frederick Street workshops. This wonderfully stylish and fine quality set comes from a private country house and is insuper condition. It consists of a beautiful teapot, a pretty milk jug and a two handled sugar bowl.

Every piece is fully and clearly hallmarked with ABrosLtd, anchor, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),H showing that each piece was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1932. This wonderful set has a stunning and very stylishART DECO faceted shape with a brown finial and handle to the teapot. Every piece is raised on a pedestal base. This set is a full sized tea set, and is exceptional quality and VERY substantial. The set weighs574.0 grams - giving a total weight ofvirtually 18 1/2troy oz. This set is NOT engraved.

The teapot (capacity of1 1/2imperial pints) measures 5 1/2" in diameter, 9 1/4" from spout to handle and stands 5 1/2" tall. The milk jug measures 2 7/8" in diameter, 4 3/4" from spout to handle and stands3 5/8" tall. The sugar bowl measures 3 7/8" in diameter,5 7/8" across the handles and stands 3" tall.

The sugar bowl is in lovely condition with less than the usual surface scratching and no splits or repairs, NO distortion and NO dents and almost NO dings. The milk jug is in lovely condition with less than the usual surface scratching and no splits or repairs, NO distortion and NO dents and almost NO dings. The teapot is in lovely condition with less than the usual surface scratching and no splits or repairs, NO distortion and NO dents and almost NO dings. The teapot hinge is still firm with NO spring as is the finial. There is NO play to the teapot handle - with less than the usual wear. Very minor defects that I mention only for complete accuracy - this set is in SUPERB condition.

A really lovely set as you can see from the photographs - at a VERY low start and . This is a stunning set of EXCEPTIONAL quality- as good a three piece ART DECO set as you'll find this year - superb after over 80 years!!!!
