This is a stunning entrée dish by a world renowned silversmith and the design , proportions and top quality chased detail reflects this, it is a real beauty and this is one of two matching dishes , the other dish is also for sale separately. I have provided a picture of the two together - This sale is for one of these two superb entrée dishes.

The dish is inverygood antique used condition commensurate with materials , great age , careful use and good storage.

The Silver Plate isvery , very goodfor its great age and use, no plate-rub , clean and bright with just very light usagesurface wear, although I am being fussy in noting this , the silver isvery good , clean and even in colour - No damage , No Plate Rub.

Any other colours seen in the pictures are purely photographic background reflections - clean and even in colour -

PLEASE NOTE :- The makers mark is for James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield. This makers mark was used only between 1869to 1879 before the Bugle logo was used. Unusually , there is also the designer/ engravers initials J.Sremovable. I am sure the serious professional Dixon collector will be able to identify the designer !!!!
