Superb Antique Deakin & Sons Silver Plate Warming / Chafing Dish Server
Presented is a superb quality silver plate warming or chafing dish. This piece
was made by James Deakin & Sons and dates to the late 1800s or possibly the
very early 1900s. The dish is made in a handsome, classical form, with a paneled
design to the lid. The dish stands on four outward-turned feet, and has two
handles. The dish has a lock and key mechanism, so it can be closed securely en
route to the table. There is even a notch in the lid, for a serving utensil to
stick out of while the lid is closed.

There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals,
and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with the maker\'s mark for James Deakin & Sons, as
well as EPNS and a product number T8479.
This piece measures about 13 ¼ by 9 ¼ by 8 ¼ inches, LxWxH.
