Superb Cased Antique Block MEERSCHAUM & STERLING SILVER Estate Pipe Pipa Pfeife:

Here we have a superb antique blockmeerschaum estate pipe in the straight \'apple\' shape,complete with a sterling silver ferrule.It comes housed in its original fitted presentation case, printed with \"Genuine Block-Meerschaum\"and \"Sterling Mounted\" on the interior.
The ferrule has a tiny hallmark (see photo 7) but I was unable to read it.
The stem is a replacement but fits perfectly. I assume the original was amber as \"Real Amber\" is printedon the exterior of the case.
The pipe has been carefully smoked and remains in excellent condition - just one tiny ding on theferrule - and a few very light teethmarks on the stem.
There is just a shallow layer of carbon in the chamber, and some on the bowl rim.The stem fixes very securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
The case no longer fixes shut, but is in great aesthetic condition.Please note: the pipe stand visible in a couple of photos is not included in this sale.
