Here is a magnificent piece.Made circa 1821, by Thomas Shaw of Birmingham, this heavy Georgian (George IV) solid sterling silver snuff box is of the most exceptional quality. With ornate engraved edging, gilded interior & initialed cartouche with the name \'L.E.BOOCOCk\'. 7 years off its 200th birthday, its amazing to think that a gentleman was using it all those years ago. An excellent example of Georgian silver & an excellent example of a snuff box. Closes with the most satisfying click.Condition:
In excellent condition with the slightest tiny ding in a couple of places. Engraving has worn slightly as pictured.
