·Wepurchased the ring mount without a sovereign ring and the design was married itto a English 1890 Queen Victoria 22carat gold sovereign coin. We chose that date gold sovereign piece because it wasa perfect marriage/date for the classic weave design mount.
·Facts:Mount is hall-marked 9 carat view hall marks picture 3 and it was united with a 1890 GoldSovereign because we wanted to offer something with historic importance and some antique age with a as new classic style mount. Due to the fact that the 1890 Gold Sovereign was minted 124years ago that allowed us to present a ring with a gold sovereign that was over 100 years since the first settlement fleet inJanuary1788of eleven ships arrived and Sydney was settled with over 1,000 convictsand military.
It does not matter if anybody is a Royalist or Republican because the fact is Queen Victoria is an important part of Australia\'s history. Victoria and Queensland are named after thatmonarch and we wanted as historic collectors to offer a historically important influenced item.
·It mustbe mentioned that the mount was as new when purchased anddidn\'tneed cleaningor polishing, however it was done. The condition of the ring is well exposed with our clear photos and they are part of the description.
·Weight is13.5 grams gold, 7.98 grams of 22 carat gold for the sovereign and 8.22grams-9 caratgold for the mount: total 13.5 grams. Size is U, US-10, No23.25 & 20.25mminternal diameter. All these are the same size, but different ways of statingthe same size from different countries. The external diameter overall outsidediameter of the mount is 25mm. It’s a impressive ring with genuineantique 125 year old Gold Sovereign piece. What the shifty buyersdid was pay with a credit card through PayPal and then after we posted andreceived a signature on collection. They contacted the credit card company andtold them lies that they didn’t receive the gold item and got the credit cardcompany to take the money back from PayPal. Hence PayPal took the money backout of our back account even though we had had proof of collection when deliveredby Australia post. It was a nightmare and we eventually got our money backafter PayPal proved to the credit card company that their customer was lyingand a thief. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
