Rare early 19thC Japanese Hirado wine jug measures 14.5 cm high 20cm long x 11cm wide.Excellent quality porcelain well modelled with lots of very fine detail,not one of the usual mass produced featureless wares for general retail.These pieces are quite rare and were made in small numbers.Minimal signs of wear if any,decoration as good as you could find,very very slight damage and no repair,no restoration.It has very tiny fleabite small chips to top rim hidden under lid and a few very small chips to underside of fan shaped lid and a fine base hairline(all out of sight),small inner rim chips to spout and short hairline to left side of figures stomach,nothing too obvious (very easy to miss),see pictures for detail.Lid is the original,rare to find complete and in such good order.You can find a near identical piece in reference book \"Japanese porcelain 1800-1950\" by Schiffer,p172.Decent size piece,not one of the usual tiny little cabinet pieces,see close up pictures,any questions email before offerding,thanks
