Superb large antique Victorian beadwork panel decoratedwith central rose bouquet & garlands, surrounded byintricate leaf patterns, dense floral scallops & formal.Worked in Grisaille form : mainly white, grey, black & silverglass beads. Highlighted by tiny gold bead outlines & sparkling
tendrils of steel cut beads. Original silk cord present.Background in deep raspberry colour silk, the curving frame shapein olive-green wool.
Beautifully embroidered, in exceptional condition. Originallya firescreen, protected by glass since made. nb Will be posted rolled in box

Condition :
Excellent ++, no missing beads, no tarnish to steel cut beads.three small marks on right hand edge, these are not dirt but possiblyoriginal backing glue that has aged.
Back is covered by canvas, this is age discoloured & dry but hasserved as good protection. The Small Print !
