This is a superb pair of antique French brass curtain pole finials dating from the 1800\'s. They would certainly add a touch of grandeur to a window.
Their shape resembles an acorn but they are in fact an acanthus leaf cup holding a pine cone.
They are heavy and of good quality with excellent detail to the casting. The brass has mellowed and patinated over the years to wonderful effect.
The finials have their original screws for fixing to a pole.
They measure:- 11 cm (4.3 inches) high x 7 cm (2.75 inches) wide. The base plate is 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter.
A superb pair of curtain pole finials to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
