Superb Signed Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma Scenic Bowl w/ Enamel Flowers!

This great early Japanese Satsuma pottery bowl is decorated with two fan shaped scenes on the interior, one of a bird beneath a flowering tree and the other of geishas gathered on the floor of a room. It has colorful floral patterns in the border between the scenes and is decorated on the exterior with enamel painted iris flowers amongst blades of tall grass. It is signed on the underside in gold gilt over black. It dates from the Meiji period and measures approximately 2 + 3/8 inches deep by 4 + 7/8 inches diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just one tiny pinhead nip in the gold along the rim.
