This is a superb large antique sterling silver Victorian circa 1890 Scottish Celtic design tree of life brooch. The craftsman has developed a Celtic knot design into an amazing tree of life.The workmanship is fabulous and you really need to see this piece close up just to fully appreciate how amazing it is!The brooch has no hallmarks which is fairly normal for brooches of this period, but has been fully tested and is sterling silver.The length is 6.0 cm ( Two and two fifth inches ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition and original. This is a weighty piece weighing 27.4 grams.
