Wonderful pattern and harmonious color scheme on this old Hmong baby carrier from Southeast Asia. The carrier has been used in daily life to carry babies but the embroidery, appliqué and quilting remain in wonderful shape. The thick cotton backing is also in very good shape (though the back has a fair bit of dirt on it as seen in the photo -I have not attempted to clean the item). The handles/ties have been cut off as is usually the case as these suffer an inordinate amount of wear. However, they are usually devoid of decoration and is why the Hmong are not adverse to removing them.

The dimensions are 27 inches/69 cent. wide at the top and 23 inches 59 cent. wide at the bottom. The height is 31.5 inches/80 cent.
