A stately pair of elegant wooden END/LIBRARY TABLES are available. These estate pieces are offered as a \"set\" only ....Inspection requests will be accommodated. The owner is unable to ship commercially, local pickup is preferred.
Their precise era of construction is not known although I feel late 19th century is a reasonable time frame. Most like, an individual with considerable carpentry skills made these tables as their is ample evidence of same throughout. While graceful griffins are reminiscent of the Empire period, other features mitigate against this interpretation. Neither is weighty and bulky and stylistically more visually graceful as well.
Specifically, their design is both linear and sweeping. While both could accommodate a marble top,Neither reveals evidence of a backsplash. Each is 34\" long, 17\" deep, and 30\" high. The griffins bowbow outwards some 16\" and gracefully arc downwards and join the carved foot. Curiously, one table top isslightly longer answer than its companion.
Only slight of evidence of repair and both sturdy. A shrinkage crack onOn top only adds panache. One top needs attention.Sheen is medium, tone warm and inviting. They will easily meld into any existing decor.
