Superb quality Georgian SILVER TEA CADDY London 1744 William Grundy Rococo 300g:

We are offering for sale an outstandingGeorge II period silvertea caddy decorated in the Rococo taste.

Thiscaddy box is superbly chased with flowers, leaves and scrolls and centred by an asymmetric cartouche that remains blank. The lift off cover is similarly decorated and topped off with a cast bud finial.

The tea caddy is beautifully proportioned and sits comfortably in the hand.It has been made from a good thickness of silver and consequently hasa good hefty weight. It is in fabulous original condition. The hallmarks remain clear to the underside witha lion passantmark to the cover.

This is a truly high quality piece of Georgian silver!
