Running from April 3, 1978 until February 10, 1985, The World’s Greatest Superheroes syndicated newspaper comic strip featured many of DC Comics’ major characters but mostly focused on Superman. There were 24 story arcs to the strip, each generally lasting three months. This strip, dated 5/11/1984, is part of the “Brainiac and the Derlyns” story arc that featured Superman facing off against Brainiac (one of the Man of Steel’s most deadly foes, first appearing in Action Comics #242 from 1958). With great images of both Superman and Brainiac, the strip measures 5 1/2 by 16 1/2 inches, is in excellent condition, and will be shipped with the utmost care. Story by Paul Kupperberg, pencils by Jose Delbo and inked by Sal Trapani. It is autographed by Jose Delbo. Please note, this comic strip is the actual, original one-of-a-kind artwork pencilled by hand by Delbo and inked by hand by Trapani. It is not a copy, print or pre-printed image.
