On a cold Julen season evening the Tomte, or Swedish Santa, brings a sled load of gifts to this isolated cabin. The home as aglow with lights in the window, and the tree is decorated for the season. The Tomte\'s lantern guides his way.
About the artist: Eva Melhuish grew up in Sweden and now lives in England . Her paintings have been featured across Europe and the US, and has been featured in global projects for UNICEF. \"I remember my childhood in Sweden vividly,\" she recalls. \"The forests and lakes, and the magical winters. Natural landscapes have always played an important part in my work and life.\" The Swedish tradition of the Tomte live on in many of her paintings.
