ANTIQUE MORIMURA BROTHERS BABY DOLLLife Size ~ Bent Limb ~ Antique Gown & BonnetThis big fellow will charm your socks off!
Here is a lovely big baby to add to your antique doll collection! He\'s not perfect but he is absolutely adorable! Our sweet antique character baby doll is a 21\" newborn size doll with a bisque socket head and composition body with bent baby limbs. The back of his head is marked: “8 MB in a circle, Japan 12.” He\'s from the Morimura Brothers, probably the best of the best in Japanese/Nippon dolls of the World War 1 era, He was made circa 1920. His charming face has nicely blushed chubby cheeks and a double chin. He has a tiny black spot on one cheek. His beautiful deep blue sleep eyes have a few real upper lashes, painted lower lashes upper and lower lashes and feathered eyebrows. His smiling mouth is open and showing two tiny white teeth and a red tongue. His tongue is missing some paint.His full dark blonde wig may be original and looks like human hair. His wig and pate are not attached to his head. We will stuff his head carefully for safe shipping.He is wearing a gorgeous antique christening gown and antique bonnet.The christening gown is embellished with floral embroidery and trimmed with lace.
He has a delicate antique bonnet that is covered with lacey fabric and a pretty ribbon bow. Both pieces have an aged to a mellow off white shade. The lacey cloth outer covering and the ribbon ties of the bonnet are disintegrating. They are both still beautiful antique items and enhance this adorable baby.Under his gown he has a long full slip trimmed with handmade lace.He is also wearing and old white and blue crocheted booties. One of the booties has a hole in the back.His sleep eyes work properly.His 7 piece composition baby bent knee body is in good condition. His large body is very realistic looking. His hands, legs and feet are large and complement his body size. They are nicely curved and look very baby-like! He can bend at his shoulders, wrists and hips.The composition has some age appropriate rubs and some paint loss around his wrists.Around his neckline it appears to have been repaired. Most of the composition is in very good shape. Perhaps he was repainted.

SIZE This large baby is about 21 inches long.CONDITION This antique Morimura doll baby is in Good to Very Good Antique Condition. This doll’s chubby happy baby face is really adorable! His eyes may have been reset and he has a repair around his neck. His body has some age related imperfections and repairs as noted above. He may have been repainted at one time. His antique christening gown, full slip and bonnet are in delicate shape but look perfect on him. One of the booties has a hole in the back. He is a darling big baby and displays beautifully!SHIPPING This doll is large enough to require separate packaging, and so we are not offering combined shipping in this case. We are including the cost of postal.insurance, which we will purchase, in our shipping charge.

PAYMENT: As required by , we list only PayPal as a means of payment.SHIPPING: We are usually able to ship within 1 to 3 days of payment verification. We ship through the United States Postal Service, and we try to offer our customers the most appropriate postage options for each item. We obtain a tracking number for each mailing.SHIPPING CHARGES: Our basic shipping charge is set to cover postage and shipping materials, plus a small handling charge. We purchase postal.insurance for more expensive items, and requires Signature Confirmation delivery for items costing $250 or more. We add these costs to the total shipping charge for sale items that we think might attract larger offers. If a shipping charge estimate is too high, we refund the appropriate amount to the customer after we have shipped the item and verified the actual cost.
COMBINED SHIPPING: We sometimes specify combined shipping discounts with our listings, but we will offer such discounts in many other cases even when not pre-quoted. Assuming that multiple items can be appropriately shipped in one box, we begin with the charge for the heaviest item and add between $1 and $5 for extra items, depending on weight and additional packing material needed. The added charge could be more for unusually heavy or large items. International customers: With so many different postal rates, we cannot quote discounts ahead of time, but we do apply the appropriate discount at the time of the invoice.INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: offerding from international customers is welcome! We accept PayPal payments only from other countries; we do not accept checks or currency.
