Adorable,10 inch tall, Russian jointed, stockinette cloth doll, circa late 1920s, all original, Made in Soviet Union/8097, representing the peoplesofthe then recently formed USSR(Soviet Socialist Republic). This preciousdoll has tab-jointed arms and legs with bent knees (so she can sit easily) and charmingly formed hands with individually molded fingers and separate thumbs.She is constructed of firmly stuffed cotton twill fabric (stockinette head) with sweet molded mouth and nose and lovely painted features including blue eyes with highlights, brows and blushed cheeks. She wears allher original provincial clothes including her lovely long, blue floral-printed, cotton shirt/dress with long gatheredsleeves over anotherburgundy red cotton, full skirt,fine dark jacket with burgundy (& matching lace) trim, long knit stockings and blue flower printed, cotton panties with lace trim and brown leather shoes. She also wears a lovely, wrapped scarf headdress over her dark blue velveteen banded bonnet with lace, ribbon and button trim. She is in very good condition with no stains or odors, no tears or repairs and is in extremely clean condition. (loc 18) Her playmate doll is not include and listed separately.
