Original pair of early 1940\'s Swiss Army nailed boots, belonged to a Piedmont partisan in 1943-1944. The boots are the very rare early 1940\'s model without stitching on the shoe and with the particular nailing of the wartime period. They were smuggled from Switzerland and used by a fighter in the partisan groups operating in northern Piedmont in 1943-44. They were set aside around year 1944 as evidenced by a popular Italian newspaper vintage, which was used to protect the shoes and keep them fit, probably in the Milan area. (1 piece of newsaper is also 1935 dated). There are also 2 ancient wood circular reinforcements to keep them in the form. The nails are marked Tricouni-deposè, a firm founded in the late 1890\'s. The conditions of use are good, they are complete and have the original color. The laces are his originals but are obviously a bit stiff. A genuine representative piece of the partisan guerrilla war in northern Italy during 1943-1944. The size is not reported. Sole length is about in.11. Shipping to U.S. by registered airmail USD 45.00.
