This listing is for an antique Edwin Bennett pottery syrup pitcher with a pewter top. It is in very good condition - no chips, cracks or repairs, though does have crazing.
Measures 6\" tall to the top of the pewter finial, or 5-1/4\" to the top of its patented spout. Approximate 4\" diameter at middle.
The surface has a nice shiny glaze with a slightly raised honeycomb pattern. One side has a bird on a holly bush branch and the other has a leaf and flower design. Some of the gold accents remain, but most are gone.
The hinge on the pewter top is in very good condition.
Marked on the bottom: Bennett\'s Jan. 23, 1878 Patent.
