TAGLIAMONTE - Nino Tagliamonte and his artisanshave created something truly unique and lasting for us. By bringing back something fromthe past, long forgotten and revived again through years of dedication toblending and processing of Venetian Cameos known as “ Intaglios” Tagliamontehas virtually brought back images from as far back in time as Mesopotamia,ancient Rome and Greece. Thecompany owns thousands of Matrices (molds) which are identical to the antiqueoriginals by following the Roman manual processing of glasses and styles. For example, Did you know that red is a one of themost coveted and difficult color to produce. Genuine gold is added to the mix of minerals and sandsto come up with the this color and it is not until the roman glass is cooledthat the true red color is known. Many of the ancient molds have even the originalsignature of the artist embedded in them.
Your piece might tell a storyof love, passion, mythology, war, power and beauty beyond words. There is Always a story behind eachpiece.
