TANGENT GALVANOMETER, VINTAGE {PHYSICS} UN-SIGNED, MUSEUM QUALITY
This wonderful instrument comprises: crackle finish lacquered metal tripod base with adjustable feet which are also spring-loaded, (see pics 8 &9)! The compass box is of solid brass and very heavy, it is calibrated 0 - 90 degrees four times on a silvered scale with mirror back, (to prevent parallax when reading). The aluminium needle has a cobalt steel counterbalance and a jewelled bearing. The compass is easily removable and a push fit on the nickel-plated pedestal. The coil is wound on a robust former and covered with a white Bakelite strip. The four terminals are of Bakelite and turn freely. The gaps are numbered 2, 50 and 500 respectively.

Condition: excellent - this is the finest quality Tangent Galvanometer that I have encountered in a long time!
