I recently found these at an old school War Surplus store. They had been undisturbed for decades until I discovered them.They we\'re cut / snipped from Vietnam War era helmets when they were re-purposed from the late 70s through the mid 80s. I discovered that, using some needle nose and regular pliers, they can be re-attached to your strapless helmet, and with a little effort, look like they were never removed. These green metal straps were USGI issue between 1951 and 1962. They were eventually phased out and replaced by the black straps with the black metal hardware.
