90 tracks across 4 CDs! Thetrack sequencing and inclusions differ considerably from the Beatles’ first 4UK LPs, most notably on ‘Second Album’ and ‘Something New’.

They don’t bear much comparisonto the UK’s Please Please Me and A Hard Day’s Night, as there were moresingles, B-sides and EP tracks used for the American market - so these discsare a quite different listening experience for those familiar with the originalearly Mop-tops’ albums!

You are effectively getting8 Beatles albums here, too! There are two complete albums on each disc. Allfour CDs feature both the mono & stereo versions of the USA release,presented in card wallets having the original USA LP sleeve designs.

There is great interest toBeatles collectors in these versions, as the American mixes are somewhatdifferent to the original UK releases.

There was a preference among Americanconsumers for a more ‘ambient’, atmospheric tinge to early 60s releases likethese, and so you can hear a different depth and \'backslap\' echo effect on thealbums, as opposed to the original British presentation of the same tracks.

It’s an excellent box set toadd to any Beatles collection. The outer slip-sleeve is absent from this set(which normally makes it a ‘long-box’ edition) but is otherwise excellent, withjust shelf wear. Without the sleeve, it will fit more conveniently onto your standard-heightCD shelf as it is!

There is a superb, 52-pagefull-colour booklet with the set, featuring many period photos of the Fab Four,with text and images from their early British and American travels, withBeatlemania depicted in full flow!
