Die onderhoude wat gevoer word met Robert van Tonder, Jaap Marais, Constand Viljoen, Ferdi Hartzenberg, Willem Ratte, Andrew Ford en Carel Boshoff, is uiters insigwekkend. Nordbruch se reguit styl is iets wat ons (gebore) Boere nog kan leer: om iets beskaafd reguit te sê sonder om beledigend, venying of afbrekend te wees.

In \'n boek van dié aard word sobere objektiwiteit allermins verwag, maar Nordbruch slaag daarin om soms met verbasend nugtere denke sy feitematerial te hanteer. Die outeur huiwer nie om by geleentheid besonder krtities na die onlangse geskiedenis in regse kringe te kyk nie.
